Avoidance of explosive atmosphere
Description
An explosive dust atmosphere exists in the raw gas compartment of the Herding® filter unit depending on the operating mode of the cleaning system. The Herding® sinter-plate filter acts as a dust Ex zone barrier and no explosive dust atmosphere exists on the clean gas side.
Benefits
The units situated downstream from the Herding® filter unit need to be designed only for the simple safe zone and are not required to be configured with explosion protection features.
