Manual and fully automatic magnetic belt filter plant

Description

Magnetic belt filter plants are used for separating ferritic, magnetic particles from coolant emulsions and grinding oils. Magnetic belt filters can be used in full-flow as well as in baypass mode and work fully automatically. The notable feature of this highly efficient technology is that it removes very fine chips without the use of a filter additive. The magnetic belt filter stations can be extended on a modular basis for volumetric flows of up to 8,000 lpm.

  • The magnetic field is generated by high performance permanent magnets positioned beneath the fluidized bed which is on a sloping plane. The medium to be cleaned is homogeneously fed to the fluidized bed by a distributor device and flows out at the bottom end. The fine ferritic particles are left behind on the fluidized bed and form a filter cake. The filter cake is dislodged either manually or automatically depending on the version
  • In the manually cleaned system the filter cake has to be removed against the flow of the medium at set intervals using an extractor device
  • In the self-cleaning system the fluidized bed is equipped with an allround conveyor belt that is moved in cycles by a timer in dependency on the height of the filter cake. The filter cake is automatically scraped off the belt at the guide roller and collected in a collecting bin. The frequency of the cleaning process is largely dependent on the level of contamination of the medium
  • Coolant emulsions, cutting oil, machining oil, hydraulic oil, hardening oil and wash water can be treated at temperatures of up to a maximum of 120° C. Particularly effective for machining cast iron for separating fine ferritic particles and particles of graphite attached to them. Nominal removal limit 10 - 15 µm

Benefits

  • Low-maintenance and low-wear fine filter system offering high reliability, suitable for all types of coolant. Very low power requirement
  • Extendible on a modular basis with low space requirements and suitable for installation on existing tanks as well

Specifics

The magnetic filter plants are made of stainless steel and the conveyor belt is made of oil-resistant plastic.
