Sinter-plate Filter HSL MicroCoat
Description
The base body of the Herding® sinter-plate filter, which was developed in-house and is protected by patents worldwide, is made of sintered polyethylene (PE). Deposition of the product on the surface - classic surface filtration - is achieved through the use of special coating.
The composition and type of the coating have been selected to ensure that ultra-fine solid particles down to the single-digit µm range are removed from the fluid. The coating is embedded into the pores at the surface of the base body, forming a micro-porous surface.
- Micro Coat filter elements have a mineral-based coating. The elements are designed for the ph range 1 - 12, and they can be used with a wide variety of coolants and additives
- Wherever possible, seals have been eliminated to avoid a major weakness in µm filtration systems. A special compound is applied which creates a permanent bond at the top and bottom rails, forcing the fluid to flow through the active filter surface
- A nano silver coating is applied to HSL Micro Coat filter elements as a standard feature, providing active primary protection against bio-organisms in aqueous coolant systems
Benefits
- Very high rate of separation (< 5mg/l depending on the solid) reliably prevents sludge built-up in machine tools, instrumentation and clamping tools
- High-pressure ducts and spindles are protected against abrasive solid particles, increasing service life
Specifics
Due to the combination of different materials and the specific geometric design, the Herding® Micro Coat sinter plate filters offer unique features in many fluid filtration applications.
Because the filter medium and filter system are manufactured in-house, there is perfect harmonization between the equipment and the process.
